  • We understand things come up and we try to be pretty flexible when able and help book you for a future date.

    • Reservation deposit (25% of full trip cost) is non-refundable

      • If the renter has paid in full and the booking is canceled more than 7 days prior to booking start date, a partial refund of 75% of the full amount (minus fees) is issued.

      • If canceled less than 7 days prior to booking start date, a 50% refund of the total amount (minus fees) is issued.

Check-in & Check-out Times

Normal working hours

  • Our normal hours are 9am to 4pm and you can pick-up or drop-off a vehicle anytime during that window. A vehicle brought back after 4pm is considered late and customer will be charged another night unless prior agreements have been made with us.

  • We do not work on a strict 24-hr basis meaning you can grab a car at 9am and bring it back at 4pm just fine. It does not need to be returned at the same hour it was picked up.

  • We are open on Sundays for drop-off only and customer can leave keys in slot at the office.

Other Polices

Security Deposit

  • We require a $1,000 hold on a credit card to cover any damages to vehicles and gear during the rental period. We will release those funds after your return.

minimum trip length

  • In the peak months (April 15-Oct 15) we have a 4-day/3-night minimum.

  • In the remaining months we have a 3-day/2-night minimum.

  • In either case you are more than welcome to do shorter trips but you will still be charged the minimum trip length.

No Rock Crawling

  • We allow travel on marked 4WD roads to get you to a backcountry campsite or trailhead. We don’t outfit our vehicles with recovery gear for serious 4-wheeling. Remember you are responsible for any damages to the vehicle so drive roads that are comfortable with.

Pets

  • We have an “invisible pet policy” which means there is no fee for bringing a pet if there is no evidence an animal was in the vehicle when it is returned. Otherwise we have a standard pet policy of $20/day and a $250 security deposit.

No Travel to mexico

Mileage

  • 4x4 Overland Campers: Unlimited Miles “Within Reason”

  • We have this policy so that you don’t have to worry about maxing out your daily miles if you are driving to the desert southwest or Yellowstone for a camping trip.  However, it is not within reason to drive to California and back in 3 days.  There are other rental car companies for that.
