Get Ready for your Adventure

Thanks again for booking a trip with us and we are going to work hard to make sure it is a flawless trip. To help, we have put together the following dashboard of information to layout the process as the trip gets closer and additional resources we think are important to know about before heading out.

Insurance Info

We do require that you have auto insurance to rent a vehicle. This can either be done by verifying with your personal auto insurance provider that your coverage will extend to our rental cars or you can purchase a renter’s insurance policy through our provider. If you use your auto insurance we will get the policy information when you arrive so have it available. We will send you an email one week for the trip as a reminder to get the above information.

Our Policies

We try to keep the rules of road to a minimum but our policies are laid out in our FAQ page. As always, contact us with any questions.

Camping Gear & What To Bring

We provide just about everything you will need for your trip but there are somethings you will need to bring. To help you sort that all out, review the included list found on each vehicle’s page (down towards the bottom). So what should you bring? We have created a list of items we recommend you pack.

Trip Planning

We are ready to help plan the perfect trip for you and to guide you along we have pulled together a few handy resources to check out.

  • Visit Colorado

  • Visit Denver

  • Looking to climb some 14ers? Here is a great online resource.

  • Want some hiking trail ideas, check out All Trails.

  • Want to explore some 4x4 trails? Trails Offroad is a resource to know about trails across the west showing difficulty, directions, and conditions. You have to pay to access most the information (which we have a membership) but some trails are free to view.

  • Want some food help? Check out our meal idea page.

  • Want to explore the national parks with an audio guide? Check out Guide Along which is a GPS based audio tour and really adds to a lot of infomation to your national park experience.

Navigation

For navigation while out on your trip we will provide topo maps and a road atlas. We also recommend you use some mapping apps that are available on your smartphone. There are a ton out there but here are a few free ones we really like:

  • COTREX: Made by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and a great all-around map resource. In the app you can download areas ahead of time to use when off-line.

    • Pro Tip: When downloading areas ahead of time, we like to download both the topo and satellite layers.

  • GAIA: The app is popular in the overland community and allows you to import/export GPS tracks. If we are providing driving routes or campsite waypoints, this app is how you will view them.

  • Google Maps: You can download areas ahead of time so you can view and navigate in the backcountry.

Day Of Arrival Information

Our normal hours are 9am-4pm and pickup or drop-off can happen anytime in that window. We are located at 1830 W 64th Ln, Unit A, Denver CO 80221 which is about 25min from the Denver Airport. Once you arrive we will do a vehicle orientation, sign the rental agreement and review any trip planning questions you have. Plan on at least 30min for this. You are welcome to leave your vehicle with us while you adventure if you would like.
