EV Rental FAQs

  • Good question! In most conditions, you will get over 300 miles on paved roads.

The range does drop in cold temps and the heater is running on the battery. But there is tons of capacity and the range is comparable to a regular car.

  • The Rivian will be charged up before your trip to give you maximum range. Plus, you do not need to bring it back with a full charge!

When out on a ski trip, you have lots of charging options.

There are three levels of charging, and they have dramatically different times to recharge the vehicle. This Rivian webpage is a helpful guide for the types.

You can charge up at supercharges (Level 3) built by Rivian or Tesla, or ChargePoint, map seen here. The superchargers will be your best bet for topping up on a trip unless you can charge up with a Level 2 overnight. Most stops at a supercharger will be under 30min, go grab a coffee and enjoy walking around a mountain town! Many ski areas have chargers on site too.

The only range you need to worry about is what mountain range will you choose to explore?
